Pentland Science Park PPCA Ltd was instructed by the Moredun Foundation to lodge an outline planning application for the extension of the Pentland Science Park Midlothian. Whilst the site was allocated for this purpose in the emerging Local Plan it was sensitive in terms of landscape and ecological impact. As such, as part of the management of the application process PPCA Ltd had to provide landscape impact analysis and engaged specialist consultants to provide ecological and transportation impact analysis. Planning permission in principle was granted, subect to conditions, at the end of 2009.
